Learning in Nature

Our students are learning about nature through our community garden both during and after school. Kindergarten students were excited to pick carrots from our fall harvest which corresponded with their Core Knowledge Language Arts curriculum domains on plants and farms. This was a great way for them to apply what they learned in the classroom! After school, our Girls Scouts troop were examining the flowers and vegetable in the garden with magnifying glasses to earn merit badges!
