Connie Smith’s Biography
Constance “Connie” Smith is the School Counselor at Hirsch Academy. As the School Counselor, Connie teaches students how to navigate throughout the school day by focusing on schoolwork, asking for help when needed, participating in classroom discussions and how to show kindness and gratitude toward others.
She teaches our social emotional learning (SEL) classes to all grade levels which assists our students by allowing them to practice “real-life’ playground situations to help them make good choices when problems occur.
Connie is from southern California where she previously worked as a physical education teacher and coach for both Los Angeles and the Long Beach Unified School Districts. Connie has been working in the field of education for over 30 years. She enjoys playing tennis, swimming and spending time with family and friends.
